Dr. B.R. National Medical Commission approves Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences

The National Medical Commission has issued a letter to the Punjab Government establishing Dr. B.R. The Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences has been approved by the National Medical Commission.

Disclosing this here today Mr. Alok Shekhar, Principal Secretary, Department of Medical Education and Research said that as per the letter received by the department, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences, accredited by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, has been awarded NMC for the academic year 2021-22. MBBS under Section 26 (1) (a) (b) (c) and 28 (1) (2) (3) 29 and Section 61 (2) of the Act 2019. Approved to fill 100 seats.

Mr. Shekhar said that the approval from the National Medical Commission was given to Dr. B.R. All the review reports of the Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences have been released after being found to be of high standard.

He said that Dr. B.R. On the occasion of the 89th anniversary of the historic Poona Pact signed by Ambedkar on September 25, 1932, it is a matter of pride for Punjab that a new government medical college is opening in the state after 48 years. In the name of Ambedkar.
