Minister for Social Security, Women, and Child Development, Dr. Baljit Kaur, assured the Anganwadi Union that their genuine demands would be considered and resolved soon.
The Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is committed to fulfilling the genuine demands of the state’s employees. In line with this commitment, the Minister for Social Security, Women, and Child Development, Dr. Baljit Kaur, held a meeting with All Punjab Anganwadi Mulajam Union (Reg:) to resolve their genuine demands.
During the meeting, among the major demands put forward by the union include, sending children aged 3 to 6 years back to the Anganwadi centres in Punjab, granting Aganwadi workers the status of pre-nursery teachers, and doubling the honorarium of workers and helpers.
Additionally, the union raised other issues such as the recruitment of Anganwadi Workers and Helpers, providing smartphones to workers, releasing pending funds from PMVY 2017, granting full Anganwadi worker status to Mini Anganwadi workers, and constructing Anganwadi centres with modern facilities.
