Chandigarh/ Amritsar, December 17:
No stone will be left unturned in the beautification of Amritsar and Rs 7.73 crore will be spent on the beautification of the city and basic amenities will also be provided to the people.

After inaugurating the work of installing solar system at the house of the people of the Schedule caste community. Dr. Nijjar said that 200-200 watt solar systems will be installed in 75 houses of these wards. It will cost around Rs 35 lakh. He said that solar systems are being installed free of charge and no installation charges will be taken from anyone.
Local Government Minister, Dr. Nijjar directed the officials and said that transparency and quality should be ensured in the development works and any kind of negligence in the development works will not be tolerated. He said that we have to give corruption free administration to the people of the state, so that any type of corruption will not be tolerated. Talking about the development works, he said that saplings will be planted on the main roads,which is leading to city and clean environment will be provided to the people.
He said that apart from this, interlocking tiles, bridges and paint and street lights are also being installed in the city.
Dr. Nijjar said that illegal encroachments are being removed from the roads to improve the traffic system.
On this occasion DSP Ashok Kumar, Mr. Balwant Singh, Mr. Sonal Singh Golden, Madam Jyoti, Mr. Dilbagh Sandhu, Mr. Khajan Singh, Mr. Baljit Chauda, Mr. Ashish Kumar and a large number of local residents were present.
