Dr. Raj Kumar Verka directs to solve the problems of Scheduled Caste and Backward Class employees

Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Minister Punjab, Dr. Raj Kumar Verka has promised to solve the problems of Scheduled Caste and Backward Class employees of the state.

Presiding over a meeting of senior officers of various departments of the state government here today, Dr. Verka said that the main objective of the Punjab government is to provide social justice to the people of the state and he will not tolerate any casualness in this regard. Taking stock of the issues raised during the meeting regarding the employees belonging to Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, Dr. Verka directed the authorities to provide justice to every employee as per government norms and also asked them to take into consideration the interests of every individual.

Meanwhile, the representatives of Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes employees apprised the Cabinet Minister that ‘The Punjab State Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes (Reservation in Service) Act 2006’ is not being fully complied with in the matter of appointment/ selection to the post of PCS (executive branch) made through the various registers i.e Register A-1, Register A-11, Register A-111 and Register C. In this regard, Dr. Verka directed the authorities to immediately implement the rules of the state government so that everyone get his due. He said that no injustice would be done to anyone in this regard

During the meeting additional chief secretary Mr. A Venu Prasad, principal secretary social justice, Mrs. Raji P. Srivastava, principal secretary personal Mr. Vikas Pratap, secretary tax Mr. Nilkanth S Avhad, director panchayat Mr. Manpreet Singh Chhatwal, director sc sub plan Mr. Raj Bahadur Singh were also present.
