Social Security Minister Punjab, Dr. Raj Kumar Verka extended his greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Prakash Purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Dr. Verka will pay obeisance at Kartarpur Sahib tomorrow. He said that he is very fortunate to have the privilege of visiting this holy place associated with Guru Nanak Dev ji. He said that in view of the religious sentiments of the people this corridor should remain open forever for the devotees visitors.
Dr. Verka said that Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji guided the humanity to attain salvation by spreading the cult of devotion. Guru Ji’s teachings of ‘Kirat Karo, Naam Japo and Vand Chako’ are still relevant in the present materialistic society.
He appealed the people to imbibe the spirit of service and humility as preached by the Great Guru and strive hard for carving out a peaceful, prosperous and healthy society by following the precious legacy of Guru Nanak Dev ji. He appealed to the people and celebrate this occasion with utmost devotion and brotherly by rising above the caste, colour, creed and religion.
