Education Recruitment Directorate conducts recruitment exam for 6635 posts of ETT teachers

Chandigarh, October 16: On the directions of Education Minister Pargat Singh to complete the various recruitment processes related to the department in time, the Education Recruitment Directorate today conducted recruitment examination for 6635 posts of ETT teachers.

The Secretary School Education Ajoy Sharma while expressing satisfaction over the arrangements made by the department said that the recruitment examination has been conducted very efficiently by the Directorate of Recruitment.

He also said that the department has started the process for the recruitment of 18,900 teachers which would be completed soon and the appointment letters would be handed over to the selected candidates.

Giving details, SCERT Director and Recruitment Board Officer Dr. Jarnail Singh Kaleke said that 95 examination centers were set up in 7 districts of the state in which out of 22982 candidates, 19963 appeared for the examination which comes around to 86.86 percent. He added that the vigilant supervisory staff of the department in the examination centers caught 2 impersonation cases. One case came to light in Jalalabad examination center and another in Abohar examination center where another person was caught giving examination instead of the candidate. Further action has been taken in both the cases.

He further said that the candidates who have been found involved in the cases of impersonation would be blacklisted and legal action would be taken by the department as per the rules. He also divulged that strict action would be taken in the cases of plagiarism or impersonation in the recruitment examinations of the education department.
