Election commission of India appoints one IAS and two PCS Officer in CEO Office Punjab

Chandigarh, October 5:

Punjab Chief Electoral Officer, Dr. S. Karuna Raju today said that on the recommendations of the Election Commission of India, Mr Amit Kumar IAS has been appointed as Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab and Two PCS Officers, Amarbir Singh and Inder Pal, have been appointed as Joint CEOs.

Mr. Raju said that these appointments have been made as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India for which the Punjab Government had sent a panel of three officers for the three posts each through the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab.

He informed that the Election Commission of India had also consulted the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab to finalize these names.

CEO Mr. Raju also said that preparations were being carried out to conduct upcoming assembly elections on war footing.
