Chandigarh, March 31: Congress leaders on Friday demanded an explanation from Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Badal on the issues raised by Finance Minister Manpreet Badal in the Vidhan Sabha.
Backing Manpreet’s charges on the misuse of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee funds, Congress leaders Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Balbir Singh Sidhu, Kuljit Singh Nagra, Barinder Singh Pahra, Tarsem DC and Inderbir Bolaria said Sukhbir should come clean on the allegations.
Randhawa said Sukhbir’s silence on other charges affirmed that he and his father Parkash Singh Badal had misused the government exchequer for personal benefits.
