Film makeup artist Geet Brar shot, body dumped

Date:

Patiala, November 2: The body of a makeup artist with the Punjabi film industry, Geet Brar, 32, was found dumped near Rajpura on Thursday with bullet injury marks in the head and neck.

The deceased, who hailed from Moga, was based in Chandigarh. Patiala Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Harvinder Virk said: “Three shots were fired at her from close range, probably with a revolver.”

Sources said Geet, who lived in a rented accommodation, left with an unidentified man on Tuesday at 5 pm. Her mobile was switched off after 5.30 pm. The police have questioned two of her women friends. They do not rule out contract killing.
