Finally, slain SP’s son gets ACP’s job

Date:

Jalandhar, July 10: Almost three years after Baljit Singh, SP (Detective) Gurdaspur, was killed during a terror attack on the Dinanagar Police Station, his son Maninder Pal Singh was on Monday inducted as ACP, Crime, in the Jalandhar Police Commissionerate.

Maninder Pal was pursuing the last semester of his BTech (computer science) degree from Anand College of Engineering, Kapurthala, when his father was killed on July 27, 2015. After the completion of his degree in 2016, he started his training with the Punjab Police. He remained posted as the SHO, Jandiala, during his probation period.
