Four associates of the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang arrested with 3 pistols, 1 magazine & 22 live cartridges

Rupnagar, November 28, 2022: As part of the special operation being conducted by the district police against gangsters, 4 Associates of the Lawrance Bishnoi gang have been arrested along with 3 pistols, 1 magazine, and 22 live cartridges while 1 accused managed to escape from the spot.

Giving details in a press conference, SSP Rupnagar Vivek S. Soni IPS on the directive of Chief Minister, Punjab Bhagwant Sing Mann, a campaign has been commenced against anti-social elements in the district. Police teams have been strictly monitoring the illegal activities so as to ensure law and order in the district.

SSP said that under the leadership of SP (Detective) Mr. Manwinderbir Singh, DSP (Detective) Rupnagar Mr. Talwinder Singh Gill, Inspector CIA Satnam Singh along with his team were arrested 4 gangsters on November 26 namely Kuldeep Singh Karry, Kulwinder Singh Tinka, Satvir Singh Shammi and Beant Singh and recovered 03 pistols, 22 live cartridges, 1 sword and 12 iron rods.

Vivek S Soni further said that Special Police team got the information that this gang was preparing for a major incident. Acting on the tip off from the sources, the police teams arrested the accused.

SSP said that the arrested accused Kuldeep Singh Karry, Kulwinder Singh Tinka and Satvir Singh Shammi have already been booked in Case No. 128 dated 06.10.2022 U/s 307, 148, 149 IPC and 25/54/59 of the Arms Act at Komm-Kalan police station, district Ludhiana, in which the accused shot a person in the thigh and escaped from spot.

He said that all arrested accused are associated with the Lawrance Bishnoi gang.

He said that the arrested accused have been presented before the court from where 2 days police remand has been obtained. It is expected that there will be more key revelations from the gangsters. The further investigation of the case is going on.

A case FIR No. 117 dated 26.11.2022 U/s 399, 402 IPC 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered against the accused at Police Station City, Morinda.
