Chandigarh, July 9: Most Wanted Dilpreet Singh Baba has been arrested after a brief encounter with the joint operation by special branch of Punjab Police Intelligence wing and Chandigarh Police on Monday.
According to preliminary reports, Dilpreet Singh Baba was accosted behind the ISBT in Sector 43, Chandigarh. In a brief encounter, Baba was hit by a bullet in his leg and has been admitted to PGI.
Besides other serious crimes, Baba was wanted for the attack on famous Punjabi singer Parmish Verma recently. Parmish had survived the attack with gunshot injuries in his leg and subsequently, Baba had taken to the social media to claim his handiwork.
Dilpreet Singh Baba, son of Onkar Singh, is a resident of Dahan village, Nurpur Bedi in district Roopnagar.
He has been Most Wanted by the Punjab Police for murder, attempt to murder, dacoity, robbery, gangwar and extortion. He escaped from police custody and has been on Punjab Police radar for the attack on Punjabi singer Parmish Verma recently.
