Gangster Rocky’s sister Rajdeep Kaur joins SAD

Date:

Fazilka, February 8: Slain gangster-politician Jaswinder Singh Rocky’s sister Rajdeep Kaur (46) has joined the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) during the party’s “pol khol” rally here on Wednesday.

Rajdeep had failed to get the Congress ticket from the Fazilka Assembly segment in the 2017 elections. Contesting as an Independent, she had given a tough fight to the Congress and BJP candidates, bagging over 38,000 votes.

She refused to comment on her switchover to the SAD, but her supporters confirmed the development. Rajdeep had joined politics after Rocky’s murder in 2016.

Meanwhile, the stage is set for the SAD’s first “pol khol” rally against the alleged misgovernance of the ruling Congress.
