Chandigarh, January 24: As per the notification issued by Punjab Government, the Governor of Punjab Mr. V.P. Singh Badnore would unfurl the National flag at Gurdaspur in a state level function on Republic Day, while Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh would hoist the Tricolour at SAS Nagar (Mohali).
Disclosing this, an official spokesperson of the State Government said that Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Rana K.P. Singh would unfurl the flag at Hoshiarpur, Deputy Speaker Mr. Ajaib Singh Bhatti at Faridkot.
Similarly, the state Cabinet Ministers Mr. Brahm Mohindra would unfurl tri-colour at Fatehgarh Sahib, Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal at Jalandhar, Mr. Om Prakash Soni at Sangrur, Mr. Sadhu Singh Dharamsot at Sri Muktsar Sahib, Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi at Rupnagar, Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi at Ferozepur, Mrs. Razia Sultana at SBS Nagar (Nawanshahr), Mr. Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria at Amritsar, Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu at Bathinda, Mr. Vijay Inder Singla at Patiala, Mr. Sundar Sham Arora at Barnala and Mr. Bharat Bhushan Ashu will hoist the National Flag at Mansa.
He further said that the State Government today made partial modification in national flag hoisting program with regard to the Republic Day celebrations, for which notification has already been issued.
Spokesperson said that now Mr. Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa will hoist national flag at Pathankot, Mrs. Aruna Chaudhary at Ludhiana, Mr. Gurpreet Singh Kangar at Moga and Mr. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa will hoist tri-colour at Jalandhar.
