Govt constitutes high level committee to look into demands of contractual employees

The Punjab Government has today formed a high committee to evaluate and consider the demands of contractual employees. A notification to this effect has been issued. The said committee would receive proposals within one week from the concerned departments and then undertake next course of action.

Disclosing this, an official spokesperson said that the officers committee has been constituted under the aegis of the Principal Secretary (Finance) to ponder over the demands of contractual employees. The committee also comprises Principal Secretary (Personnel), Principal Secretary (Local Government) besides Principal Secretary (Planning).

The spokesperson further said that the committee would receive the proposals from the departments regarding their demands in one week span and would actively consider the same. Afterwards, the committee would give hearing to the contractual employees. After giving a patient hearing to the employees organizations, the said committee would submit its report along with the recommendations of the each department to the Chief Minister.
