Hafiz Anwar ul Haq assumed the charge as chairman of BACKFINCO in presence of Dr. Verka

Mr. Hafiz Anwar ul Haq has assumed the charge as chairman of The Punjab Backward Classes Land Development and Finance Corporation (BACKFINCO) in the presence of Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Punjab Dr. Raj Kumar Verka.

After assuming the office here today, Mr. Haq said that he will fulfill this responsibility with utmost dedication and will do every effort to raise the economic standard of the people of the state. He thanked Chief Minister Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi and Dr. Verka for giving this task.

Earlier, Dr. Verka hoped that Mr. Haq would discharge his responsibilities diligently. Mr. Malwinder Singh Jaggi, Executive Director, BACKFINCO welcomed the new Chairman. It may be recalled that BACKFINCO was established in 1976 to raise the economic standard of the backward classes and weaker sections of the state. The corporation provides low interest loans for self-employment schemes.

Former Minister Mr. Mahinder Singh KP, former DGP Mr. Rajinder Singh, Vice Chairman of BACKFINCO Mr. Gulab Mohammad, Member Board of Directors Mrs. Swaranjit Kaur, Assistant General Manager BACKFINCO Mr. Amarjit Singh, and M.C. Kharar Mr. Manpreet Singh Manna was also present on this occasion.
