Heavy rains trigger flashfloods in Manali, cars get buried under debris

Date:

Shimla, July 18: A flashflood triggered by torrential rains wreaked havoc in Bran village, around 5km from a tourist resort in Manali in Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday.

Six vehicles were buried under the debris due to floods. Heavy flow of the debris also blocked the Kullu- Manali National Highway causing traffic jam. A team of the public works department (PWD) has been working to open the highway for traffic since morning.
