Higher Education Minister congratulates Guru Nanak Dev University for 3.85 CGPA at NAAC

The Higher Education Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer has congratulated the Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar for the crowning glory in the form of attaining the 3.85 CGPA at A++ Grade of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government has focused its energies on giving boost to the education sector, said Meet Hayer adding the achievement is a clear proof of the State Government’s sincerity of the purpose.

Notably, Guru Nanak Dev University is the only State/Central/Private University in India to get this score. This assessment is based on set of seven criteria under different key aspects based on the functioning and organizational focus. These criteria include Curricular aspects, Teaching- learning and evaluation, Research, innovations and extension; Infrastructure and Learning resources; Student Support and Progression; Governance, Leadership and Management; Institutional Values and Best Practices.

The Minister congratulated the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu besides the teaching, research fellows, non-teaching and students on this amazing accomplishment.
