Chandigarh, October 15 – The Punjab Higher Education and Languages Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, has condoled the death of former Vice Chancellor of Punjabi University Dr. Joginder Singh Puar. He was a prominent educationist and successful administrator who served as Punjabi University V-C from 1993 to 1999. He is survived by wife Ratnesh and daughter Maninder.
Expressing deep grief over the death of Dr. Puar, the Punjab Higher Education and Languages Minister prayed to almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength to the family members to bear this loss.
Dr. Puar was a great promoter of Punjabi language. He penned books on Punjabi grammar. He also served as editor of Deshsewak newspaper.
