Chandigarh, March 1: The third edition of the Jaspal Bhatti Humor festival, organised by the Department of Cultural Affairs and the Tagore Theatre society, opened to a hilarious start as five nationally-acclaimed stand-up comedians kept the audience in good humour.
Actor-comedian Savita Bhatti hosted the event, with performers entering the stage to the beat of dhols.
Punjabi trio — Maheep Singh, Parvinder Singh and Manpreet — presented their satirical piece ‘Saanu Ki’ and Punjabi Tadka.
The star comedian Chandan Parbhakar of famed Kapil Sharma show depicted his observation on the behavior of people in foreign countries with sharp comparison with rustic Punjabis.
The audience had reserved their eminently deserved applause for Shyam Rangeela, the internet sensation mimicking the Prime Minister. The captivating show concluded with credible performance by popular Pollywood star Binnu Dhillon. Chief guest Jitender Yadav (IAS) honoured the artistes.
