Capt to campaign for party candidates from Nov 5-7; Sonia gives it a miss

Date:

New Delhi, October 31: Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will be in Himachal Pradesh on November 6 for his second rally which he is expected to address at Chamba. Gandhi will also hold public meetings at other locations, which are still under consideration.

The campaign plan of Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and state minister Navjot Singh Sidhu has been finalized. The two will mostly campaign in Himachal constituencies bordering Punjab.

Both will be in the state on November 5, 6 and 7.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s rally, earlier planned for November 6, had to be cancelled on account of her poor health.

Sources said there is demand from 29 Himachal constituencies for campaigning by Amarinder Singh and Sidhu.
