Chandigarh, October 30: Virtually adopting the style of campaigning of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah today urged the voters to support and elect BJP on the PM’s development agenda and promising overall development of the state and the party stand on Kashmir issue.
While addressing his first rally in view of assembly elections at Banikhet in Dalhousie of Himachal Pradesh today, he alleged that Congress have not done anything significant as far as development in the state is concerned. “It will be much easier for central government to carry out development in Himachal if BJP is voted to power in the state,” he added. Amit Shah highlighted many things mentioned in BJP’s manifesto asking people to support the party.
Criticising former Finance Minister P Chidambaram for his remark on Kashmir autonomy, he said that it’s strange that Congress leader is making such irresponsible statement. “Our number of jawans had sacrificed their lives for protection of Kashmir which is integral part of India. But Congress seems to have no serious concern for such serious issue.” He also criticised Congress leaders for their stand in favour of Rohingya Muslims.
Commenting on Rahul Gandhi demand seeking PM development details, Amit Shah alleged that Congress was involved in corruption worth Rs 12 lakh crore when it was ruling the Centre prior to BJP. Congress was involved in a number of scams. Holding the Congress government responsible for corruption and crime, the BJP president said the BJP will root out corruption, mining mafia and crime if voted to power, adding that BJP will set up 24×7 helpline in CM office, form SIT, forest and mining officials and set up special police stations for women.
He also claimed that BJP is all set to provide various job opportunities to youth. It will remove the provision of interview for Class 3 and Class 4 jobs in the state. In addition, BJP will develop Himachal as a tourist destination and a number of youth will get jobs.
