Holidays at Anganwadi Centres extended due to severe cold wave

Chandigarh, January 9: The Punjab Government has extended the holidays in Anganwadi Centers of the state till January 14 due to severe cold and fog in the state.

This was disclosed here today by the Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister of Punjab Dr. Baljit Kaur.

Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that the holidays have been extended till January 14 in all the Anganwadi Centers of the state to protect the children from winter. Anganwadi workers will give take home ration to all the beneficiaries as per the order of the Supreme Court.

During vacations, Anganwadi workers/helpers will perform their duties in Anganwadi Centers as before.
