“How’s the Josh – High Sir!”
Not only has the dialogue of Vicky Kaushal-starrer ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ become a rage with youngsters and seniors alike, the movie is breaking all records of box office collections and is still unstoppable. The film has already crossed the Rs 180 crore mark and the Rs 200 crore mark will probably be hit next weekend.
Uri: The Surgical Strike portrays the valour of Indian Army at its best. Uri, based on retaliatory strikes by the Indian Armed Forces on terror launch pads across the LOC after a terrorist attack on an Indian Army base, has been written and directed by Aditya Dhar. It also stars Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal, Mohit Raina, Kirti Kulhari, Rajit Kapur among others. The film which released on January 11 also has Yami Gautam as the female lead.
According to the latest report by BoxofficeIndia.com, on its fourth Saturday, the film has raked in a total of Rs 6.25 crore on its twenty-third day at the box office. The growth on Saturday was a huge 90%. The film has till now managed to collect a total of Rs 180.23 crore at the box office in twenty-three days.
The collections of the film on its fourth Saturday is an all-time record as it edged past ‘Bahubali – The Conclusion’ which grossed Rs 6.20 crore. If the film crosses the Rs 200 crore mark, it will become the first film to do so which has been produced and released with a cost of under Rs 50 crore.
Actor Vicky Kaushal has thanked his fans for making the catchphrase “How’s the Josh?” from his film Uri: The Surgical Strike such a sensation. The said words were repeatedly spoken by Kaushal’s character Major Vihaan Singh Shergill to the Indian Army soldiers under his command, usually in order to keep up their courage before a battle.
