In line with CM directives to ensure regular supply, PSPCL meets highest-ever demand

CHANDIGARH, JUNE 27: On the directions of the Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Mann to ensure unhindered supply to all consumers, the Punjan State Power Corporatiom Limited (PSPCL) has successfully met highest ever peak demand of 14054 MW on 27-06-2022 at 12:15 PM and is 4.64% more in comparison to last year peak demand met.

Disclosing this Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO said that last year it was recorded 13431 MW on 01-07-2021 at 1.15 PM.

Notably, PSPCL had also supplied 3103 LUs on 26-06-2022 which is also the highest ever record of power supplied in a single day and is 1.21% more in comparison to 3066 LUs supplied on 01-07-2021 last year.

The Minister also added that the power demand has been persistently high during this summer and during the month of June, PSPCL has supplied 6254 MUs upto 26-06-2022 which are 7% more in comparison to 5828 MUs supplied during the same period in 2021.

He further said that for the Paddy Season, PSPCL is providing daily 8-hour power supply to its agriculture consumers and also providing 24-hour power supply to all other categories of consumers in the State without imposing any power cuts on any category of consumers.
