International Day of PwDs will observe on December 3

To increase the participation and highlighting their importance of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) in election process, Office of Chief Electoral Officer will observe International Day of PwDs on December 3 under the Inclusive Election & Assured Minimum Facility Program.

Disclosing this here today, Chief Electoral Officer of Punjab Mr. S Karuna Raju said that the Commission has decided to organize a Facebook Live Event on the occasion to mark the day and decided to honor the winners of district level function with cash prize during this state level function. He directed the other concerned authorities of the state to observe these kinds of events before November 27, 2020.

He said that during this event Online Quiz Competitions, Sports & Cultural Activities, Poetry Recitation, Painting and Music Competitions will be organize. He also informed that Writing competition in Braille and Speech Competitions in Sign Language will also organize. He said that Electoral Literacy Clubs (ELC), ELC In Charge, PWD associations/NGOs and Persons with Disability in General Public will take part in these events.
