Jauramajra chairs meeting to discuss issues of GoG scheme

Adhering to the vision of CM Bhagwant Mann for the welfare of defense servicemen of Punjab, a meeting to address the issues of erstwhile GOG scheme was was chaired by Minister of Defence Services Welfare (DSW), Chetan Singh Jauramajra on 24 Mar 2023. Discussions were held with the 11 member team of GOG under leadership of Maj Hardeep Singh, Flying Officer Kamal Verma, Sub Maj Amrik Singh and representative from various districts of Punjab in presence of Principle Secretary DSW, Sh JM Balamurugan, IAS, Brig Bhupinder Singh Dhillon (Retd), Director DSW and Brig Tejvir Singh Mundi (Retd), MD, PESCO.

Addressing the meeting, cabinet minister Jauramajra complimented the efforts put in by the erstwhile GOG ex-servicemen and in this context assured them all assistance from the CM Office. He further reiterated that Bhagwant Mann Govt is appreciative of sacrifices of our defence forces personnel as they operate in tough and hostile conditions and is well aware of their commitment to serve towards social empowerment and anti-corruption.

The minister assured the GOG representative that the matter will be discussed with Standing Committee and a time bound communication by 30 April will be disseminated to all.
