JJP only alternative to corrupt parties, says Dushyant

Date:

Ambala, February 9: Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) leader and Hisar MP Dushyant Chautala said on Saturday that the people of Haryana were looking for a change and those who used to comment on the existence of the JJP had been clearly told by the people of Jind that the JJP was the only alternative in Haryana.

Speaking to mediapersons here, Dushyant said, “The time has come for all those who want to uproot the BJP and the Congress in Haryana as well as the country to get united. Efforts are being made at the national level and I am hopeful that the foundation of change will be laid soon. The JJP will also be part of this front, as it will strengthen regional parties.”

On the BSP’s decision of calling off alliance with the INLD and forming ties with the Loktantra Suraksha Party, he said, “People who tried to divide us in the name of communities were refused by the people in Jind bypoll and they would be refused in the future as well. Only INLD and BSP leaders would be able to comment on why the alliance was formed and why it has been called off.”

To a query, Dushyant said, “The JJP is in its formation stage and many people from different parties want to join it. The state and district-level units are being formed and after consulting the national executive of the party, the organisational work will be completed before February 28. The party will contest on all 10 Lok Sabha and 90 Assembly seats.”

About alliance with AAP, he said, “The state working committee will hold a meeting and take a decision.”

On being asked about contesting the Lok Sabha elections, he said he was ready for both and would go as per the decision of the party.

About the allegations of not meeting his grandfather (OP Chautala), he said, “There is no need to give verification or validation to anyone. On party’s front, we have made it clear that we have different ideologies and there would be no political meetings.”

Dushyant said, “There would be zero per cent impact on the JJP due to his presence.”

About the stand-off between the JJP and INLD over party office, “The police should ensure that the possession of the property is given to the rightful owner.”

No tie-up with BSP or LSP, says MP

Panchkula: Dushyant Chautala, founder of the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), on Saturday ruled out an alliance with the BSP and LSP. He said the JJP would not tie up with any party that divided people on caste lines. He said the party was against an alliance with the BJP as it had failed to fulfil aspirations of the  people in the state. He alleged that Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar wanted to divide people  on caste lines and had misused government machinery during the Jind  byelection. Dushyant was here to welcome hundreds of INLD workers into the JJP fold. He said five of the 17 INLD MLAs had already joined his party and others would follow suit.
