Jolt to Congress in Chandigarh, former mayor Pradeep Chhabra joins AAP

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has dealt a major blow to the Congress in UT Chandigarh. On Friday, former Chandigarh Congress president and former Chandigarh Municipal Corporation mayor Pradeep Chhabra joined the Aam Aadmi Party. Pradeep Chhabra was warmly welcomed in the party by the AAP‘s National Convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. On the occasion, in-charge of AAP‘s National Organisation Building Team, Durgesh Pathak, Punjab affairs in-charge and MLA Jarnail Singh, president of AAP‘s Chandigarh unit, Prem Garg, in-charge of MC elections for AAP, Chander Mukhi Sharma (former councilor), among other leaders were present.

 

Congratulating the entire AAP team in UT Chandigarh, Arvind Kejriwal said the party’s Chandigarh unit was getting stronger day by day. “With the positive efforts of the Chandigarh team, the Aam Aadmi Party will repeat Delhi‘s victory in the Chandigarh MC elections,” he said.

 

Pradeep Chhabra said the Aam Aadmi Party government-led by Arvind Kejriwal has proved to the whole country what and how the politics of work is. He termed the Aam Aadmi Party as a new hope in Indian politics and assured the party leaders to win maximum number of seats in the forthcoming MC elections for Arvind Kejriwal.
