Justice Zora Singh who probed sacrilege incidents joins AAP

Date:

Chandigarh, December 24: Justice Zora Singh (retd), who had headed a commission to probe sacrilege incidents in Punjab, on Monday joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Zora Singh will address a press conference at AAP office in Delhi. Also, accompanying him, would be Garshankar MLA Jai Kishan Rodi, who will re-join the AAP after leaving the rebel group of Sukhpal Khaira.

MP Bhagwant Mann confirmed the developments.  A report by The Tribune last week had said that MLA Rodi would be returning to the party soon.

AAP MLA HS Phoolka had released justice Zora Singh Commission report before the SAD-BJP government could do so.

The Justice Zora Singh Commission of Inquiry, set up by then Akali-BJP government to probe sacrilege incidents, had submitted its report on June 30, 2016. The Capt Amarinder government had rejected this report as “inconclusive” and set up the Justice Ranjit Singh Commission of Inquiry in April 2017.
