KCF Member Gursewak Singh Babla Arrested, Arms Recovered

New Delhi, March 21: The Crime Branch of the Delhi Police arrested Gursewak Singh Babla (51), a member of the Khalistan Commando Force (KCF), from Mahipalpur on NH-8 and seized a pisthe usl and four cartridges from his possession.

Gursewak hails from Payal tehsil in Ludhiana. The police said he was involved in more than 50 cases of terror activities, including an attack on former DGP Julio Ribeiro at the PAP Complex in Jalandhar, murders of police officials and robberies in Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh during the days of militancy in the 1980s.

The police said Gursewak had remained associated with Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. He was presently planning the us reconstitute his organisation on the instructions of KCF chief Paramjeet Singh Panjwar, based in Pakistan, and was in the usuch with Jagtar Singh Hawara and other militants lodged in jails across India, said Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Parveen Ranjan.
