Chandigarh/Jalandhar, March 25
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann along with Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal paid obeisance at Dera Sachkhand Ballan in Jalandhar on Saturday. On this occasion, they laid the foundation stone of Sri Guru Ravidas Bani Study Center and met the head of Dera Sachkhand Ballan head, Sant Niranjan Das ji.
Meanwhile, Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal handed over a check of Rs 25 crore to Sant Niranjan Das for the construction of Sri Guru Ravidas Study Center to be built at Dera Sachkhand Ballan. Rajya Sabha Member from Punjab Raghav Chadha, MP Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal, Punjab Cabinet Minister and MLA were also present with them.
Addressing the congregation on this occasion, Bhagwant Mann said that this place has always taught us to live together with love and made huge efforts to spread the bani of Guru Ravidas ji. He said that Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar says that no country can progress without education. So our government’s priority is education, health, electricity, employment, trade and infrastructure.
He further said that blue cards or yellow cards are not going to uplift you from poverty, only your educated children can do that. He said that the leaders who made tall claims to eradicate poverty are only luring you for votes. These people took away the money of your children, their pre and post matric scholarships, children’s education, youth jobs and martyrs’ coffins.
Addressing the Sangat here, Kejriwal said that through the Guru Ravidas Bani Study Center, Guru Ravidas ji’s holy Bani will reach every nook and corner of Punjab as well as the world. I consider myself very fortunate that I got a chance to participate in such great and virtuous work.
