Chandigarh, November 16, 2017: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has agreed to develop an elevated road link from Ashram Chowk to Badarpur and automation of tax collection at the entry point into Delhi from Gurugram on NH-48. This would help prevent traffic congestion.
These and other assurances were given by Kejriwal to the Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar at a joint meeting held here on Wednesday.
Khattar suggested to his Delhi counterpart to construct an elevated road from Ashram Chowk to Badarpur to ensure easing of the traffic congestion in the area. On this, Kejriwal said he would take personal interest in getting these works executed on a priority basis.
Haryana CM also raised some other long pending issues concerning roads and water between the two governments and asked Kejriwal to direct the departments cocerned to take quick action on these for the betterment of people of both states.
