Amritsar, March 31: An unidentified youth attacked Jasbir Singh, a key witness in the Inderpeet Singh Chadha suicide case, when he was standing outside a gym at Ranjit Avenue here on Friday. Jasbir had driven down Prabhpreet Singh Chadha, son of Inderpeet Chadha and the complainant in the suicide case, to the gym.
Jasbir told the police the assailant first asked him about his name and later entered into a scuffle with him. When people started gathering, the assailant fled. The Chadha family termed it an attempt to threaten the witnesses in order to weaken the case.
