Gurugram, September 16: The Haryana Government has decided to monitor the Ryan school management for the next three months even as Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who visited the grieving family of seven-year-old Pradyuman Thakur, today recommended a CBI probe into the child’s murder.
“Haryana Police acted in the most efficient manner by nabbing the suspect. But the child’s family insists that further investigations be carried out by the CBI. So we have recommended the same. I appeal to the agency to expedite the probe,” Khattar announced. Pradyuman’s father Varun Thakur said he was thankful to the CM for being “sensitive to our pain”.
“We have prepared a loophole-free chargesheet. We will cooperate with any other investigating agency that comes on board,” Police Commissioner Sandeep Khirwar said.
Meanwhile, the Haryana Police questioned two more teachers today. One of them was Pradyuman’s class in-charge. She was the first to be informed by a gardener about the boy’s murder. The Class II student was found in a pool of blood, his throat slit, inside the school washroom. He succumbed to his injuries in hospital. Ashok Kumar, the school bus conductor, who is the key suspect, has already been arrested.
