Khedan Punjab Diyan 2022 closing ceremony at Ludhiana on November 17

CHANDIGARH: The grand closing ceremony of the ‘Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan 2022’ organized by the Sports Department under the initiative of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to make the state a leader in sports again, will be held on November 17 at the Guru Nanak Stadium, Ludhiana.

Disclosing this here today in a press communiqué Sports Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer said that these games organized under the guidelines of the Chief Minister, which were got a big boost thus giving a visible proof that more than 3 lakh sportsmen participated in 29 games from the block level to state level in 6 different age groups from under 14 to over 50 years.

Sports Minister further said that during the closing ceremony, Chief Minister will be giving away cash prizes worth Rs. 6.85 Cr as prize money to more than 9000 winning players through DBT who secured first, second and third positions at the state level. Apart from this, the districts clinched the first three places overall in the medal list will also be awarded.

On this occasion, famous folk singers Kulwinder Billa, Pari Pandher and Armaan Dhillon will entertain the audience in addition to folk music and folk dances of Punjab during the colorful ceremony.
