Kultar Singh Sandhwan calls upon the sportsmen to work hard with determination to make the future of the country bright in the field of sports

Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan has called the sportsmen to work hard with determination to brighten the future of the country in the field of sports.

In his address as the chief guest in the 49th All India Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Hockey Tournament at Sri Hazur Sahib Nanded (Maharashtra) S. Sandhwan said that the strength and fitness of the people of any country can be gauged from the performance of its players. He praised the players and asked them to staying connected with sports. To make Punjab a leading state in the field of sports, the Speaker said that the Punjab government has started activities to create a sports culture in the state. S. Sandhwan said that the Punjab government is making all possible efforts to promote sports by channalizing the energy of the youth in a positive direction. He said that Punjab Government has provided a suitable platform for sportsmen to articulate their hidden talent. He said that it is the need of the hour to encourage budding players and the Punjab government is making all efforts in this direction. S. Sandhwan said that there is no dearth of sports talent in Punjab and the Punjab government is making efforts to harness their potential. He also said that now the players in Punjab are being provided modern basic facilities so that they can show their best performance and raise the name of the country.

Meanwhile, S. Sandhwan also participated in a gathering dedicated to the martyrdom of Sahabzadas at Sri Hazur Sahib and paid tribute to them.
