Lack of Political clearance hinders AAP’s visit to Shri Kartarpur Sahib on Gurupurab

Date:

Chandigarh, 18 November
The delegation of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab has not been given political clearance by Modi and Channi governments to visit Sri Kartarpur Sahib on November 19 on the occasion of Guru Parv to take blessings at of Guru Maharaj.
In a statement issued from the party headquarter on Thursday, senior AAP leader and co-in-charge of Punjab affairs and MLA Raghav Chadha said that the Modi government at the Center and the Channi government did not give approval to Aam Aadmi Party’s delegation. He told that the delegation of ‘AAP’ wanted to go to Shri Kartarpur Sahib under the leadership of State President Bhagwant Mann. For this, an application was also given but the delegation was not given political clearance to visit the holy shrine. Whereas the Modi government at the Center has given all the necessary approvals to the ministers and MLAs of the Channi government of the Congress. It seems that Modi and Channi governments are running in connivance and their only objective is to prevent AAP from coming to power in Punjab.
Raghav Chadha said that no party should do politics on a religious subject like Shri Kartarpur Sahib, it is a petty mentality to do politics on religion. AAP is deeply saddened by the involvement of politics in religious matters.
