Lok Sabha adourned for the day amid ruckus by Opposition

The Lok Sabha proceedings were adjourned for the day amid repeated disruptions by opposition members.

Earlier, the House was adjourned till 2 pm and later till 3 pm amid ruckus by Opposition members on various issues.

Speaker Om Birla, who asked them to return to their seats, failed to convince them as MPs continued to shout slogans, waving placards around the Well and also before the Chair.

“The government is ready to answer all your questions. Please return to your seats,” Birla said as he adjourned the House till 2 pm barely five minutes into the question hour before only a part of a question could be answered by Minister of State Kailash Choudhary.

Later, Lok Sabha proceedings were adjourned for the second time, till 3 pm, amid continued opposition protest.
