Ludhiana boy tops Punjab Board Class 10 examination; girls outshine boys

Mohali, May 8: Gurpreet Singh of Ludhiana topped the Punjab School Education Board Class 10 examination by securing 98 per cent marks.

Jasmeen Kaur of Bholath stood second by securing 97.85 per cent marks. Perneet Kaur of Fatehgarh Sahib came third by securing 97.69 per cent marks.

There was a pass percentage of 59.47 in the result that was declared here on Tuesday.
As many as 2,19,035 candidates out of 3,68,295 passed the exam.

In the sports category, Shreya from Gurdaspur secured 98.62 per cent marks. Dolly from Gurdaspur came second by securing 97.69 per cent and Amanpreet Kaur from Ludhiana stood third by getting 97.38 per cent marks.
