20th APRIL 2022 Gippy Grewal and the team are back with another ground-breaking film, ‘Maa’ as the trailer for the film has been launched today, i.e 20th April. A presentation by Humble Motion Pictures and Saga Hits and directed by Baljit Singh Deo, the film has been produced by Ravneet Kaur Grewal, and Gippy Grewal and co-produced by Bhana L.A and Vinod Aswal. The makers of Ardaas and Ardaas Karaan present this gift to all the hardworking mothers on the special occasion on behalf of Punjabi cinema.
As soon as the trailer was launched it received huge appreciation from the audience. After watching the trailer, fans are now waiting for when the film will drop in theatres. The impressive star cast includes Rana Ranbir, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Divya Dutta, Babbal Rai, Aarushi Sharma, Smeep Singh, and Vadda Grewal. Also, a special appearance by Late Shri Sardool Sikander Ji is a treat for the audience.
Going with the lines, “Mother is the form of God on earth”, the trailer is already creating waves of excitement amongst the viewers. Gippy Grewal always comes up with making the Punjabi industry meaningful cinema for which the fans are eager to watch this film on 6th May in cinemas.
Gippy Grewal, while presenting another Punjabi cinema masterpiece, expressed his happiness, “This film is very close to my heart because it is dedicated not only to my mother but to every mother who takes the form of God on earth. No one else can love you unconditionally, as a mother. The film represents unique motherhood and I couldn’t think of anyone else but Divya Dutta who played the role so justifiably.”
Expressing his feelings, the director of the film Baljit Singh Deo said, “The whole process of making the film was very emotional. When Gippy approached me for this film, I immediately said yes. Such films are not made in Punjabi cinema every day and presenting the image of the mother was a big responsibility in itself.”
The story is written by Rana Ranbir and while talking about the concept, he said, “I have put all my love for my mother in the script. It is a very heartwarming story and I am sure the audience will like it, That’s what I did when I was writing the script. The song, the cinematic presentation and the actors all do justice to the script of the film. “
