Badal, March 19: Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal bereaved as his mother Sardarni Harmandir Kaur passed away.
Her cremation will take place today at 3.00 pm at village Badal.
Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday expressed profound grief over the demise of Harmandir Kaur, mother of Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal, who passed away at Badal village this morning.
Describing Harmandir Kaur as a pious soul and a pillar of strength for the family, Captain Amarinder extended his condolences and prayed for eternal peace for her.
The death of Harmandir, who is survived by her son, a daughter besides her husband, ex-MP Gurdas Singh Badal, was a huge loss to the family, said the Chief Minister in his condolence message. He prayed for strength for them in this hour of grief.
The cremation will take place in Badal village today (Thursday) afternoon at 3 pm, according to family sources.
