Many social activists and politicians joined AAP

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab is further strengthened on Saturday when a number of social activists and leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress, joined Aam Aadmi Party.

According to a statement issued by the party, Harpal Singh Cheema, a senior leader of the party and Leader of Opposition, has formally welcomed Rajinder Singh, a prominent social activist and businessman from Ropar district, Jaskaran Singh, a BJP youth leader also from Ropar, a social activist from Patiala and Former PSPCL officer Mohinder Mohan Singh and former CISF commandant from Zirakpur, social worker and teacher Gagandeep Singh Purba with the dozens of their supporters into the Aam Aadmi Party. On this occasion the party’s Anandpur Sahib Lok Sabha constituency in-charge Dr. Sunny Ahluwalia, Gobinder Mittal, Tejinder Mehta, Dr. Jasvir Gandhi and other party leaders were present who gave a warm welcome to the new participants in the party.

Speaking on the occasion, Harpal Singh Cheema said that, influenced by the policies of the Aam Aadmi Party and their pro-people leader Arvind Kejriwal, various political parties and social activists are joining Aam Aadmi Party. It is clear that the people want to give a chance to Aam Aadmi Party, by overthrowing the traditional political parties which have become the symbol of the Mafia in the state.
