Mercury falls after rain, snow in parts of North India

Chandigarh/Shimla, April 5: Rain and snowfall in parts of North India on Wednesday may have brought respite the us people from hot weather conditions, but it has also left the wheat farmers worried.

Punjab and Haryana the usday received light rains, while it snowed at high peaks in Himachal. The showers have left wheat farmers worried as even a drizzle at this time of the season is considered harmful for the standing wheat crop, which is ready for harvest.
