Last year, singer Hardeep Singh roped in the ‘Flying Sikh’ Milkha Singh for his song ‘Sardaari’, and now he has signed up the former Indian Hockey Captain Sardar Singh for his next. Titled ‘Gallan Karraiyan’, the song has been written by Sukha Wadali and the music is by Jaidev Kumar.
Not many know that Hardeep Singh is also a former hockey player and not just any player for that matter, he played his game at the national level. No wonder he connects with sports fans so well. Reportedly, Sardar Singh was chosen for the song as he was the first Hardeep Singh could think of as soon as the track was conceptualized.
Though the upcoming track will mark Sardar Singh’s debut in Punjabi music world, this is not the first time he was being approached for a song. In fact, if things would have worked out well, Sardar Singh would have made his debut with ‘Sardaari’. However, the player wasn’t in India, and thus, couldn’t shoot.
