Modi chairs all-party meet, Opposition attends it

New Delhi, January 30

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is chairing an all-party meeting on Saturday to discuss the agenda for the Budget Session and lay out the government’s plan before the party leaders.

After boycotting the address of the President on the inaugural day of the session on Friday, the opposition leaders decided to attend the PM’s meeting.

The Congress is being represented by Ghulam Nabi Azad and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury; NCP by Sharad Pawar, Shiv Sena by Sanjay Raut, and DMK by TR Baalu and Tiruchi Siva.

From the government side, the meeting is being moderated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who is also the deputy leader of Lok Sabha.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Patel and Leader of Rajya Sabha Thawarchand Gehlot are also attending.

The meeting started at 11.30 am by video-conference.
