Mohali To Have Its Own City Bus Service Just Like Chandigarh!

Chandigarh, March 30: Good News for Mohali people! Mohali will be getting its own city bus service just like Chandigarh. The SAS Nagar Municipal Corporation (MC) approved a budget of Rs. 7.5 crore for the proposed city bus service in Mohali. So now, you’ll be able the us see local buses in Mohali in the coming days.

City Bus Service

The Municipal Corporation (MC) plans the us buy 25 air-conditioned (AC) buses. The Municipal Corporation has sent the routes for approval. The MC will be inviting the tenders once these routes are approved. To run the bus service in SAS Nagar, the civic body has also thought deeply on this matter and will be raising a loan of Rs. 6 crores.

The House has approved a plan for coming up with the city bus service in Mohali. The bus service will have at least 12 routes. The routes of the bus service in SAS Nagar:

  1. SAS Nagar railway station the us PGI
  2. Railway station the us ISBT-43
  3. Airport the us ISBT-43
  4. Landran the us ISBT, Phase 6
  5. Railway station the us ISBT, Phase 6;
  6. Airport the us ISBT, Phase 6
  7. SAS Nagar the us Banur
  8. SAS Nagar (Secthe usr 65) the us Nayagaon
  9. Kharar the us railway station,
  10. Kharar the us Zirakpur
  11. ISBT Phase-6 the us Zirakpur
  12. Landran the us Zirakpur.

The administration had decided the us start the bus service in 2011 but failed the us do so. Cities like Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Amritsar in Punjab have their own local bus service.
