Mohali court denies bail to SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia in drugs case

A court on Friday rejected the bail application of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia, who was booked under the NDPS Act by the Punjab Police.

The bail application of Majithia was dismissed by the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Sandeep Kumar Singla in Mohali.

Punjab Police had booked former Akali minister Majithia under various Sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

A copy of the FIR stated that Majihtia had been booked for knowingly allowing drug smuggling through the use of his property or conveyance, financing the distribution or sale of drugs and hatching a criminal conspiracy for smuggling.
