Moosewala’s father visits Amritsar to identify gangsters; says killing 2 men will not bring back his son; wants gangster culture in Punjab to end

Date:

Chandigarh, July 21

Sidhu Moosewala’s father Balkaur Singh along with his two friends arrived at Amritsar civil hospital to identify two gangsters who had allegedly shot the singer dead.

Speaking to the media, Balkaur Singh said it was just the beginning of the fight against the gangsters. Killing two men would not bring back his son. He said he would be satisfied only when the gangster culture in Punjab ended.

Two gangsters allegedly involved in the killing of singer Sidhu Moosewala were killed in an encounter by the Punjab Police in Amritsar on Wednesday.

Gangsters Jagroop Singh Roopa and Manpreet Singh alias Mannu Kusa were killed in the operation that lasted for around five hours and ended at around 4 pm.

Roopa and Kusa were hiding at a building in Bhakna village near the India-Pakistan border in Amritsar. They were absconding after Moosewala’s killing.

Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa district on May 29.

Police had identified six shooters who were part of the two modules allegedly involved in the killing.
