Residents pedal to mark National Integration Day

Muktsar, October 30: To observe National Integration Day on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on October 31, the civil administration in association with police of three districts — Bathinda, Muktsar and Mansa — on Monday organised a cycle rally from Bathinda to Malout to Fazilka, which culminated at the Sadiqi border check post.

The cyclists paid tributes to the martyrs at the Asafwala War Memorial in Fazilka. Among others, Deputy Commissioners of Muktsar and Fazilka districts Sumeet Jarangal and Isha Kalia, respectively, participated in the rally. The BSF jawans were also among the participants. The cyclists mainly belonged to the Bathinda Cycling Group.
